If you or a family member have been arrested for DUI in Delaware,
you need to know that the law allows only fifteen (15) days to
request a hearing with the Division of Motor Vehicles. You must
contact your attorney as soon as possible if you have been accused
of DWI or DUI. Otherwise, your license will be automatically suspended
following a Delaware DUI arrest.
Your license can be revoked for up to 12 months with your first
offense. You need an experienced DUI lawyer like Joe Hurley at
your side.
First Offense? In Delaware, a judge or administrator can review
an offender's record through his or her entire lifetime. This
means that you may have had a DUI from many years ago, even in
another state, you may not qaulify for First Offender status,
and you van be exposed to more severe penalties.
